Sunday Blues
For the longest time, I've always wanted to try and make a cyanotype looping animation. This project is that idea imagined. The animation was created in After Effects at 12fps for 5 seconds that loops back. By printing two frames on a single transparency page, I was able to proceed with the cyanotype process.
The process itself required a very stable, dark environment and a UV light to control exposure times of each print. It took 20 minutes for each page, with a total of 30 pages. Although it was a lengthy process, the outcome of the rich Prussian Blue animation is worth every minute.
